A scalar's tick scale (T7): true draws ticks at automatic round values, an object chooses them, false or absent draws only the two labelled ends as before. The ends are always labelled; a tick label gives way to an end or the target where they would meet, its tick staying. Tick labels use the readout's notation. Ticks are drawing only: no name, table or CSV row.
type ScalarScaleOption = boolean | ScalarScaleOptions;The scale of a gauge, linear gauge or bullet (T7).
interface ScalarScaleOptions {
ticks?: ScalarScaleTicks;
}Where a scalar's scale ticks sit (T7, ADR-100). 'auto': readable round values, as many as the scale's length gives room for. An array: exactly these values (a threshold, a policy value), within the range.
type ScalarScaleTicks = 'auto' | readonly number[];One reference value on a scalar (T7): a number, or the value with a name. Beyond the scale its mark stops at the nearer end while every text keeps the true number; a value that is not finite is not drawn or stated and is reported to the host's diagnostics.
type ScalarTarget = number | ScalarTargetOptions;A target with its own name (T7).
interface ScalarTargetOptions {
value: number;
label?: string;
