# Export values

## Types

**GridExportMode**

```

The two export output classes.

- `'data'` — machine/raw semantics: stable, presentation-independent,
byte-identical under every viewer language. The DEFAULT for CSV, XLSX
and JSON data export.
- `'presentation'` — the human-readable form, close to what the grid
renders. Only produced when explicitly requested, and requires the
caller to supply the locale — the grid never derives presentation from
anything it resolves itself.

**GridExportRunOptions**

  {mode?: 'data'} | {mode: 'presentation'; locale: GridPresentation};
```

Mode options accepted by the export functions. Presentation mode requires
an explicit locale at the type level: there is no default language a
machine boundary could safely assume.
