# invalidateChartStyles

Exported by `@workspace/active-charts`. Generated from the package source; part of [the index of every export](/packages/active-charts/all-exports).

## Functions, hooks and constants

**invalidateChartStyles**: `() => void`

Tells every chart on the page that the host changed its styles in a way
the charts cannot observe: a CSSOM edit (a rule inserted or deleted,
`sheet.disabled`, `<style>.disabled`), an adopted stylesheet, a stylesheet
outside `<head>`, or a media condition other than the colour scheme and
forced colours that starts or stops matching. Charts re-read their tokens
and fonts in their own scope. It carries no value and sets no theme; a
change of a class, an inline custom property, or a head stylesheet element
and its activation attributes needs no call.
