**AnimationType**

Vocabulary of entrance-animation types that a series can request via
`series[i].animation.type`.

Not every type is valid for every series — see {@link ANIMATION_TYPE_WHITELIST}.
Requesting an invalid type falls back to the per-series-type default and
is reported as a development diagnostic.

**ExitAnimationType**

```

Vocabulary of exit-animation types — used when a series is hidden via
legend toggle. Kept intentionally small (5 types) — the same `'shrink'`
picks the right axis based on series orientation; `'slide-out'` slides
to the right (or down for horizontal bars).

- `'auto'` resolves to `'fade'` (the safe default for all series types)
- `'none'` skips the exit animation (binary hide)
